HURRICANE RELIEF FUND

This fund is established by the Texas COGOP State Office to assist the churches and families affected by Hurricane Harvey.

Here are some ways you can get involved:

-PRAY FOR THOSE AFFECTED (MOST IMPORTANT)

-MAXIMIZE DONATIONS BY SENDING THEM TO THE TEXAS STATE OFFICES BY MAIL

Please consider adding 3% to cover the fees.
For large gifts we recommend they be mailed to maximize your gift by not incurring the 3% paypal fee

-RECEIVE AN OFFERING TO SEND A CONSOLIDATED DONATION TO THE STATE OFFICES

-PRAY WITHOUT CEASING!

As time goes on, there will be volunteer opportunities and other ways to take part.
In the meantime, your monetary gift will go the furthest in assisting with the immediate and short-term
needs of our Texas family in our South Texas Plains and Gulf Coast Regions.

In July we experienced “Texas Together” in worship, now we have an opportunity to embrace “Texas Together” in trauma.

(1 Peter 3:8, NKJV).

Here are a few things we know as of this morning:

-Mandatory evacuations are underway in Matagorda county due to an intentional water release.

-The article posted by Brenda today on Facebook will provide details.

-In Bay City, they have said there will be as much as 10 feet of water downtown; no emergency assistance will be available.

-Tom & Earlene Griffin are endeavoring to relocate to their daughter’s home.

-Palacios:  Lloyd & Debi Rodriguez and Raymond and Minnie Salinas took refuge at Camp Lost Pines.

-Randy Tolman conducted a worship service yesterday with those who evacuated to our campground.

-Pastor Runnels at El Campo/New Ulm has evacuated to Hallettsbille to stay with their son.

-Houston surrounding counties are being highly impacted by an intentional water release.

-This releasing of water from the levees is an effort to keep them from failure.

-Port Lavaca: Willie & Diana Espinoza have been evacuated and are headed to Camp Lost Pines.  

-Pasadena: Tony & Faye Pittman are setting up a relief command center for the Cajun Army from LA. to distribute needed supplies.

-Corpus Christi: David & Sandra Barillas had a wonderful worship service yesterday filled with an attitude of praise to God and compassion for others more severely damaged than they. All are safe. 

-Houston (Crown Street): Bro. Payano reports he now has water in the church.

A detailed accounting of funds received will be kept and a report given to the North American Presbyters Office/TX Board of Directors as to distribution.
